Despite already being 4 times over capacity, the Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston, TX posted on Facebook that they had accepted 59 puppies in less than an hour on Friday.
According to the Facebook post:
“We are full. So full that sweet dogs and cats who have done nothing wrong but exist may never see sunshine and grass again. You are their second chance. You are their ticket out. Only you can save their lives.”
To rescue one of these innocent puppies, visit the Harris County Animal shelter at 612 Canino Road in Houston, TX. They are open weekends from 11 am to 4 pm and weekdays from 1 pm to 5:30 pm. If you’re interested in fostering some dogs to keep them out of the overcrowded shelter, you are asked to email foster@hcphes.org.
