Man Gets The Ultimate Surprise After Weeks Of Grieving The Loss Of His Dogs

James Xuereb of Guelph, Ontario was heartbroken after he and his family lost their two dogs, Lucy and Nemo, within 3 weeks of each other this past summer.

He had been mourning the deaths of the dogs, who passed due to congestive heart failure and old age, for many weeks. That’s when his wife, Wanda and daughter, Jaleen decided to surprise him with a puppy in order to lift his spirits. They gave him a birthday card first, and he started sobbing as soon as he looked at it. Have tissue handy before watching this video!

Jaleen read the card aloud for the camera when James was too emotional to continue. She read:

“No I’m not Nemo, nor could I ever be Lucy. My mommy brought me to bring some happiness back into your life … so as we walk through this journey of life together, may we create our own wonderful memories and rekindle the beautiful memories that you had with Nemo and Lucy.”

The Bichon puppy is named Lumo, a combination of the names Lucy and Nemo. We hope this family makes a mountain of wonderful memories together!
