“Real Housewives” Alum Loses Final Chihuahua After 14 Beautiful Years

Danielle Staub, the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum, has been known for her army of Chihuahuas. In 2010, it was reported that she had three furry friends that she treated like children.

When her fluffy white Chihuahua named Precious passed away almost two years ago, she was left with only one. Her smooth-coated Chihuahua named Fendi was the last dog in her household. So, she cherished every moment with her.

Recently, Staub announced that Fendi passed away, leaving her dog-less. It was a difficult situation for her to accept, and she’s still mourning the pup’s death.

14 Years Well Spent

Staub turned to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news of Fendi’s death. The tiny Chihuahua lived to be 14-years-old, and she filled the star’s life with so much joy. Staub spoiled her dogs as much as she could. She dressed Fendi up in stylish outfits, threw her extravagant birthday parties, and gave her a cozy bed by the fire. Staub even named one of her burger recipes after her furry friend. Fendi lived the dream!

Plus, Fendi was also there during the many changes in her mom’s life. She stood by her side during her days on TV, and she was still there when Staub decided to quit and start a cooking career instead.

But now, in 2021, Fendi’s life came to an end due to old age. Even though it was her time, it didn’t make the pain any less for Staub. So, the Real Housewives star turned to social media to share a final tribute to her beloved pup.

Time to Say Goodbye

On Instagram, Staub shared a selfie of her with Fendi. Then, she added a long, thoughtful caption about her feelings toward her furry friend.

“It’s impossible to express the sorrow and pain we feel over the loss of our precious Fendi! My sweet little baby girl I want to thank you for giving me the best 14 years anyone could ask for. You are my best friend, companion, and continuous source of joy! I am lost without you but I want you to find your peace. You are my angel. I love you more than words. RIP my little one,” Staub wrote.

It’s unclear if or when Staub will open her heart to another dog. After all, she spent so much time with Fendi that moving on without her will be hard. Dogs take up such a big space in our hearts, causing their deaths to be even harder than we expect.

Rest in peace, Fendi. Your mom loved you more than you even know.
