Brief History on Siberian Husky Origin
Up until the 1900s, Americans had never heard about these incredible Siberian sled dogs. The Siberian Husky was brought over to Alaska in the year 1909. This particular breed originated in northeastern Asia among the Chukchi people, who utilized them as endurance sled dogs. When environmental conditions began to change, these semi-nomadic natives were forced to expand their hunting grounds and methods. They adapted to these changes by developing a resilient breed of sled dog, which met their special requirements upon which their survival depended. The breed gained AKC recognition in 1930, and the Siberian Husky Club of America was founded in 1938. To date, the Siberian Husky is one of the most popular arctic breeds to keep as a pet. Many households across America have opted to have one as a part of their family.
