There’s something about a man in jeans and a white t-shirt that drives a woman crazy. That woman is me. Throw a dog into the mix, and you might as well call it a day. Let’s talk about Ryan Reynolds for a second. More specifically, let’s talk about Ryan Reynolds and his love of all things “dogs.”
The guy has had so many movie roles; I wouldn’t even know where to start. Whether you’re a comic book fan, a comedy aficionado, or a suspense junkie, he has the movie to hit the spot.
Ryan Reynolds Met His Dog On Accident
Is there anything more handsome than a man who loves dogs and can rock a t-shirt, a cardigan, or red body armor and look equally incredible in each? My estrogen tells me no. After all, he was voted “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2010, and I think this is one vote we can all agree on for once. 2010 was a rough year, but Ryan Reynolds in a skin-tight suit saved us all.
He might also be married to one of the most gorgeous women of all time (Blake Lively), but he still manages to stay grounded. His down-to-earth personality and genuine kindness make him sexier than his baby face ever even dreamed of.
Wasn’t I saying something about dogs? Oh, yeah.
Ryan Reynolds has been a dog lover for many years. He was once trying to find a dog for a friend of his who was paralyzed when he crossed paths with destiny.
“I saw this big, dumb-looking retriever staring up at me,” he told ABC News. “I whispered to him, ‘Hey, let’s get the hell out of here.’ And he jumped up like he spoke English fluently. He came with me, he jumped in the car, and we’ve been best buddies ever since.”
That dog was 2-year-old Baxter. Now, the handsome hero also has Billie. Billie has given Reynolds a run for his money. He had to call in a dog training expert to help fine-tune Billie’s behavior.
According to Reynolds, “Billie was spitting acid at Sigourney Weaver and haunting the dreams of priests. Now she’s a leash-free, stress-free, fur-covered [superhero]. And a certified general accountant.”
Two confessions: He used a better word than “superhero,” and Billie might not actually be a general accountant. But you don’t argue with the Sexiest Man Alive.
So, who would you rather walk the red carpet with? Ryan Reynolds or one of his precious pups?
