You may have heard the tragic news recently about Orlando Bloom’s tiny pup, Mighty. Mighty went missing back in July. A week-long search resulted in devastating results.
From sunrise to sunset, Bloom and a team of helpful humans trudged through every peak and valley. They even enlisted tracking dogs to assist. Sadly, after seven days of searching, Bloom made the discovery that Mighty had passed.
Bloom And Perry May Be Having Relationship Problems Sparked By Mighty’s Passing
The circumstances around Mighty’s death aren’t clear, but they are certainly heartbreaking. One thing we do know for sure is that Mighty was a gift to Bloom from fiance Katy Perry. He treasured Mighty and the two had an unshakable bond.
Some tabloids like EntertainTimes.com are reporting that sources close to the couple are saying Mighty’s tragic disappearance has put a wedge between Bloom and Perry. Despite expecting their first child in the coming weeks, it’s being reported that Perry has become more aware of the bond that Bloom and Mighty had.
They suggest that the pop star is jealous of Mighty. This jealousy stems from Bloom showering Mighty with more love and affection than he gave Perry. Take this claim with a grain of salt. Perry was the one responsible for bringing Mighty into their family, after all.
There Is Always A Silver Lining To Be Found
Bloom is trying to find the positives in an otherwise dark situation.
“It was probably good for Katy to see me go to the lengths that I went to, to try and find him,” Bloom explained to People.com. “Mighty was the physical, outward representation of my heart… He was a gift to me from Katy and he traveled everywhere with me and it’s going to make me cry, so I don’t want to talk about it too much because I miss him very, very much.”
He has a great point. It seems likely that his devotion to Mighty would be an excellent indicator of the kind of dad he will be to their new baby. Surely this would have Perry’s heart melting into a puddle.
“I feel so grateful to have learned from my little Mighty man that love is eternal and the true meaning of devotion,” Bloom wrote on Instagram.
Perry Even Thanked People For Helping In The Search For Mighty
Katy Perry even took to the post to thank neighbors for helping them try to safely bring Mighty home.
Whatever the circumstances truly are, we hope that the family is able to pull through and create more loving memories in Mighty’s honor.
