We’ve written about Jennifer Aniston a number of times here at iHeartDogs.com. The Friends star is a known dog lover, and she has several dogs in her life that her fans have come to know and love as well.
Working with entertainment technology company Invisible Universe, Aniston recently created “Clydeo,” an animated dog modeled after her own dog Clyde. Clyde is a Schnauzer mix and one of the actress’ three pups.
The character debuted on December 6th, 2021, and Clydeo already has 36.7 thousand followers on Instagram.
Who Is “Clydeo”?
Aniston’s new cartoon friend is a computer generated social character, and he’s here to entertain. A caption on the Instagram post introducing Clydeo (@callmeclydeo) reads:
“Meet Clydeo, Foodie and best friend of @jenniferaniston. Follow @callmeclydeo on TikTok and Instagram where he will be serving up sizzling hot food content.”
Content creation is somewhat new to Aniston. The actress shared with Business Wire:
“It was so much fun bringing my newest family member, Clydeo, to life. Developing an animated character and coming up with the storyline is a first for me, but I am excited for everyone to meet him!”
In one Instagram video short, Clydeo attempts to imitate Aniston’s yoga pose and clumsily falls over. He also dances and picks out wine (he’s over 21 in dog years.)
Tricia Biggio, CEO of Invisible Universe, indicated Clydeo has a lot of upcoming content fans will enjoy.
“Launching an indelible character IP is our mission at Invisible Universe and there has been no better partner than Jen to create Clydeo with us. The opportunities are endless for Clydeo and his adventures with Jen, and I can’t wait to share what they cook up.”
Aniston Adores Her Dogs
Creating a character that’s an enthusiastic (but a little graceless) dog is a natural extension of Jennifer Aniston’s love of dogs. Clyde is the kind of pup Aniston loves to bring to work, and he obviously inspires her.
In addition to Clyde, Aniston is mom to pups, Sophie and Lord Chesterfield. She used to have a rescue white German Shepherd named Dolly, who passed away in 2019. It was a year later, in 2020, when Lord Chesterfield joined the family, bringing the pack number back to three.
Sophie, a Pit mix, is a rescue dog Aniston adopted and raised with her ex-husband, actor Justin Theroux. Theroux also has another Pit Bull rescue named Kuma.
As a firm believer that there’s no such thing as too much dog content, I’m grateful for all the dog contributions Aniston has to offer.
