Dog Dad Joey tells an informative, loving tale of his Australian Shepherd named Frankie. While the YouTube video is entitled “This dog was my biggest mistake,” Joey proves that his dog is the opposite. Frankie makes his days so much brighter!
Joey mentions, “When I brought Frankie home for the first time, everyone around me said, ‘Oh, you got an Aussie. Good luck! Did you know they have insane energy? Do you know how hyper they are and how much attention they need?” His reply was simple: “YES.”
While Frankie and his Aussie sibling require a lot of exercise and a healthy routine, they are very good dogs. However, he does admit that his dogs used to suffer from separation anxiety. It took some work to get them comfortable at home alone. Joey is extremely knowledgeable; what he says in the video applies to all dogs.
Frankie’s dad first suggests consistently working with your dog to establish the same routine as you. He also mentions tips on diet and playtime. If dogs want to “zoomie,” let them! Joey explains that if you adopt a dog as a puppy, that’s the perfect time to start the training process. Get ready to jot down Joey’s useful dog parent tips! I did so myself!
