It’s every pet parent’s worst nightmare: you find out your house has gone up in flames, and you know that your beloved companions are still inside. One family from Apex, North Carolina experienced this terrifying scenario last week.
The family’s dog and puppy were trapped inside their home after it caught on fire. Firefighters were able to rescue the older pooch, but the pup was no where to be found. Then, something amazing happened.
Watch the news story below:
Once the flames had died down, they discovered that the puppy was safely holed up inside the sofa! In the chaos, the clever pup had managed to claw a hole in the couch and climb in, protecting itself from the heat and smoke.
Sadly, the house was severely damaged. But the good news is that everyone is okay – including those family members with four legs! We’re sure this family is thrilled that their their youngest canine turned out to be a clever one.
