Even though they’re probably just sleeping in different spots all day, our dogs like to let us know they hate it when we leave home too long. In one viral video, a concerned Pit Bull named Roxy let her dad have it when he arrived home. From her perspective, dad had simply been gone too long. Roxy would never let him get away with this crime without a stern talking to.
In the video that boasts almost 2.5 million views, an annoyed Roxy paces her living room. Her dad asks if she missed him, and of course, the answer is yes. So she responds back with some powerful, heart-wrenching woo-woos.
Then they have a back and forth where Roxy presumably tells him what a horrible time she had home alone. Worried sick, wondering where her dad could possibly be at this hour. She’s a real daddy’s girl this one!
After she says what she needs to say, Roxy immediately turns back to her bone. Her dad must have gotten the message: never keep Roxy waiting again.
Here’s the adorable video in full for your viewing pleasure:
Commenters online took their best guesses at what exactly Roxy was trying to tell her dad.
“Roxy: ‘Where have you been? Why are you so late? You’ve been seeing another dog, haven’t you!'” Godot via YouTube
“Dad, you best not let it happen ever again. You’ve been told.” – Maria McLoughlin via YouTube
““DADDY, I’VE BEEN LONELY AND COLD ALL DAY, YOU DIDN’T COME HOME FOR SNUGGLE TIME!!” -Old School Prince via YouTube
“She’s saying “SHUT UP, put down that camera and cuddle with me already!” – Dan Seabreeze via YouTube
This video rules, but it’s just one of several Roxy classics. Other great Roxy videos include “Roxy got coned” and “Roxy hates having her sweater on.” When are they going to give this girl her own show already?? Watch her highlights on YouTube.
Adopting A Pit Bull
Even though they were once known as “nanny dogs,” Pit Bulls often get an unfair rap. As the nickname suggests, these dogs are great with children. They’re strong dogs, but when raised by good people they make wonderful companions. This video of Roxy proves how sweet and loyal these dogs can be!
