Listen, things are crazy right now. Let’s take a little journey back to a simpler time. The year is 2016. The Summer Olympics are going on in Rio, Harambe memes have taken over the internet, people are walking into traffic to catch invisible Pokemon, and the Chicago Cubs FINALLY won the World Series. Oh, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was voted Sexiest Man Alive.
Ladies, brace yourselves. If you’re a Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson fan, you’ll want to whip out your old-fashioned folding fan and have a seat. You know he was a wrestler, you know he’s a movie star, and you know he’s a world-class dad to his precious daughter. But did you know The Rock is a huge dog lover? Oh yeah, he is. In fact, he has such a big heart for dogs that he once donated money so that an abused pup could get life-saving surgery.
Big Men Love Tiny Dogs
So when you picture The Rock walking a dog, what do you see? A stocky Pitbull or a massive, muscular Doberman? Maybe a Great Dane? Nah.
Meet Hobbs, The Rock’s tiny, sassy Frenchie who has completely stolen his heart. And probably his bed. Frenchie moms and dads know what I’m talking about. He adopted Hobbs along with another Frenchie, Brutus, several years ago. Unfortunately, Brutus crossed the Rainbow Bridge after eating a toxic mushroom, but The Rock held him in his arms in his last moments.
Hobbs Keeps The Rock In Shape
Life with Hobbs has been filled with hilarious adventure and adorable antics. Of course, being the Sexiest Man Alive requires a touch of upkeep. What better workout partner than a tiny Frenchie with a massive attitude? Hobbs and The Rock can be spotted getting their steps in at the beach or pumping iron in the gym. You know there’s nothing better after a great workout than a cuddle on the couch, and thank goodness Hobbs is there for that too.
If we’re being honest, let’s just go ahead and put it out there that Hobbs isn’t always on board for exercise. Like the time he adorably protested going on a walk.
Sometimes Hobbs prefers to get around on a sweet set of wheels. Can’t argue with that.
Hobbs and The Rock are so inseparable that it’s not uncommon to see Hobbs on set. Sometimes he likes to pop in and start calling the shots, as he should.
