Meghan Markle Sponsors A Dog Kennel In Her Son’s Name

Meghan Markle is known as a huge dog lover, and she never stops showing her support for dogs in need. She and Prince Harry currently have two rescue dogs of their own and she has been sponsoring an animal organization called Mayhew. Mayhew works hard to improve the lives of animals in need, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

In fact, the Duchess of Sussex recently announced that she will be renewing her sponsorship. This time, she’s sponsoring a kennel in her son Archie’s name.

A source close to the couple explained that Archie is very close to the family’s rescue dogs. One dog is a Beagle named Guy, who Markle had before she married Prince Harry. Then, the couple adopted a Labrador Retriever together. Both dogs seem to adore their new human brother.

Markle’s Sponsorship

Mayhew has always held a special place in Markle’s heart. The organization’s mission inspires her, and she’s amazed how they keep working hard even though times are tough. So, she wrote a long, heartfelt review to tell the world that she would continue to support the organization.

“I am proud of how Mayhew have responded by finding new ways to support animals and people in these uncertain times. What I am even prouder of is that Mayhew’s mission was made for moments like these,” wrote Markle. “It’s not just about cats and dogs; it’s about all of us, our ability to come together as a community.”

Not only does Mayhew help dogs find homes, but they also help dog parents who need support. They provide care and veterinary services for the homeless community’s dogs. They also have therapy dogs visit nursing homes and mental health centers. Additionally, they have a temporary fostering program where they will care for people’s animals until those people earn enough money to care for them properly. Overall, the organization does so much for dogs and people alike.

“As an expression of my own commitment, I renewed my sponsorship of a dog kennel in the name of our son, Archie, to create an interim home for a pet in need. I hope you will show them your support in whatever ways you can,” Markle wrote. “When you do, you will be contributing not just to animal welfare, but to the shared welfare of us all.”

Markle has set the bar high in terms of saving animals. Not just anyone can sponsor a kennel in their son’s honor. Also, it seems dog lovers run in the family, so hopefully Archie will grow up to save dogs too.
