Katie Price, media personality and model, has stepped up her security by adding a second German Shepherd to her canine team. After her latest brush with violence, Katie found herself extremely frightened and ended up in the hospital with multiple injuries.
The assault took place in her own home, which led her to seek out another pup for additional security and peace of mind.
“I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated,” shared Katie.
This isn’t the first time Katie has responded to violence by “stepping up her home security.” The media personality was targeted for a carjacking at gunpoint while indisposed on the side of her vehicle when she was shooting her reality show in South Africa.
Her new security pup is a black German Shepherd named Okra. He joins Blade, another black Shepherd adopted by Katie after the carjacking incident.
“Having both Blade and her new dog Okra around will help make Katie’s home feel safer after it was burgled and she was assaulted,” shared an unnamed source with the Sun.
Katie explained that she was sitting on her couch watching television when a man in his thirties broke in and then attacked her. She was quite frightened and fled to her son Harvey’s home, who conveniently lives nearby. At his home, she called the police. She was then taken to the hospital after it was deemed she was in need of medical care.
“I ran away after being punched. I ran to Harvey’s house who lives nearby, and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured. The fight was unprovoked. I was sitting there watching television when it happened,” said Katie.
The suspect was caught and held on suspicion of assault, theft, and coercive and controlling behavior. At this time, there have not been any further updates regarding the case.
Okra is being trained “better than a police dog” for the mother of five, with sources saying that he is being trained to an “elite level.” Hopefully, Katie can feel more secure in her home now that she has added another security pup.
