It’s no surprise that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville has the stereotypical tiny dog. Glanville can often be seen carrying Buddy the Chihuahua under her arm.
On one of those rare off-occasions, Buddy met the wrath of a larger pair of jaws. According to an Instagram post from Glanville, Buddy recently got into a scrape with a wolf.
“A Fight He Could Not Finish”
From Glanville’s February 18th, 2022 announcement, it’s not clear how Buddy encountered a wolf. The most common wildlife threat to domestic dogs in Los Angeles is coyotes, though the area is also home to mountain lions.
My personal guess from what she provided is that “wolf” refers to a much larger dog, and that her dog possibly got into a dog park scuffle. Either way, it’s clear the poor pup got hurt.
As shown in the photo, poor Buddy suffered a sizable injury to his left eye. The post’s caption reads:
“My gangster pup started a fight he could not finish with a wolf. He is ok Thank God!!!”
Among others, Tamra Judge of Real Housewives of Orange County issued her condolences, writing:
“Omg that looks like it hurt. Poor lil guy.”

About Buddy
Fans of the “housewife” probably already know all about Buddy the Chihuahua. Glanville’s family adopted him from an animal shelter several years ago.
Buddy surfaces on Glanville’s Instagram page every so often, usually accompanied by a signature snarky caption. In a 2020 Instagram post, the Real Housewife wrote:
“This little f***er is a beautiful nightmare sweet but feisty AF. My son Jake & bff @kimrichards11 are NOT fans at all but he has my [heart.]”
From the frequent posts about him, it’s clear that Buddy really rules his kingdom. He’s affectionately referred to as both a “f***er” and a “sweet baby.”
Buddy seems tough enough to get through this scary experience.
Other Glanville Dogs And Tragedies
Buddy certainly rules the household now, but Glanville has lived with several other dogs as well. Glanville recently said goodbye to her other beloved dog, Sugar, in November of 2021.
Announcing Sugar’s passing, Glanville shared:
“She was perfect and crazy and beautiful and bad in the best possible way. She loved life and took so many risks I could’ve swore she was a cat, she had nine lives. Rest easy Sugar.”
The loss must’ve been hard for Buddy, too, as the two little dogs had spent years in each other’s company.
Before these two dogs were Glanville’s Jack Russell Terriers. Oddly enough, given what happened to Buddy, one of those terriers, Jesse James, was killed by coyotes in the backyard.
The “housewife” also famously had another Chihuahua named Chica stolen from her in 2013. Glanville offered a $10,000 reward for her dog’s return, but she never got Chica back.
That’s a lot of drama, even for a reality star.
