Kobe Bryant’s family has faced a lot of loss in the past few years, but that hasn’t stopped them from loving each other. At the beginning of 2020, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant tragically died in a helicopter crash. Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, continues to care for their other three daughters, Natalia (19), Bianka (5), and Capri (2). Of course, things haven’t been easy.
Last month, the family had to say goodbye to a beloved family pet, but now, they’re ready to open their hearts to another. Vanessa recently introduced the family’s new puppy, and he’s as cute as can be!
Continuing to Love After Loss
Crucio, the family’s beloved dog, passed away in early 2022. The black Labrador Retriever was very close to Kobe when he was alive, so the senior pup was able to reunite with his dad once again.
Despite losing so many family members, the Bryants always have more room in their hearts. Vanessa has a French Bulldog named Bobby, who she brought home the same year as her husband’s death. Bobby is still alive and well, but things haven’t been the same since Crucio left.
“Love seeing my girls smile,” Vanessa wrote after bringing home Bobby.
However, Vanessa and the kids knew they couldn’t wallow in sadness forever. So, after some consideration, they decided they were ready to welcome a new family member to their home. Vanessa turned to Instagram to introduce the family’s new dog.
Meet Loki!
Vanessa showed her followers the new dog by posting an adorable photo of him with the family. He’s a black German Shepherd named Loki, who appears to be almost full-grown, but is still a puppy. Everyone in the photo has a huge grin, even Loki!
“My girls are happy. Big Boy~ Loki,” Vanessa wrote in a simple caption.
Shortly after, Vanessa posted a second picture, which shows her daughters hugging their new furry friend. Once again, the whole family looks overjoyed. Many followers commented heart emojis on both posts to show their love for sweet Loki.
Vanessa and her daughters will forever miss the family members they lost, and Loki will never replace them. But there’s always room in their hearts for more love, so they wanted to extend that love to another dog. Plus, look at the girls’ smiling faces. The joy in their eyes after going through so much pain is priceless.
