Gizzie the Chihuahua is just over two pounds. Her small stature is chockfull of pure comedy and cuteness. Gizzie’s mom Kelly was volunteering at Alaqua Animal Refuge when 97 dogs were brought in from a hoarding case. Gizzie was one of the pups, and Kelly knew instantly she had to have her.
The little spitfire has a huge personality! She loves to play with her mom. Kelly will put her finger out and ask for a high five, and Gizzie’s attempts are a riot. The little pup also picks out a color for the day. Kelly will name several colors, and Gizzie will choose one by barking. If Gizzie wants the day to be pink, Kelly will make sure that’s the color she wants by running down the list again! She even says the colors in a different order. The clever dog knows what she wants!
While Gizzie is a total sweetheart with her mama, she isn’t a fan of other people. When someone tries to touch her, she will shake. Kelly has a tough time telling people not to approach Gizzie, but she doesn’t have a choice. Gizzie isn’t vicious. She just isn’t comfortable around other humans besides Kelly.
This tiny dog is sure to make your day! Just wait until you see her high-five attempts. She’s such a little riot!
