Robert Altermoser and his friend, Neal, experienced a stirring intuition when they encountered a stray dog on the streets. Trusting their instincts, they trailed the dog as it led them to an eerie, abandoned building. As they cautiously ventured inside, a shocking scene unfolded before their eyes. Within the desolate structure, they discovered numerous dogs, each one chained and seemingly abandoned, left to survive in the harshest of conditions.
The sight was heart-rending, a silent cry for help that Robert and Neal could hardly believe. It was a grim revelation of neglect, urging an immediate response to rescue these helpless animals from their dire plight.

Robert wanted nothing more than to clear out the building, and he left his home to start rescuing the stray dogs of Bulgaria. He ended up meeting with the police, and they gave him permission to take the dogs. So Robert headed there with bolt cutters. All of the dogs were super friendly despite the neglect and abuse.

Chains were cut, and the dogs were led out to the cars. The puppies would be taken to Neal’s house where they would be cared for, and the rest were kept on the 10,000 square-meter property they call Everydaystray Rescue. Some of the dogs have already been adopted, and the others are still receiving the care they need to get right!
