While staying at home for the COVID-19 pandemic might be difficult for some, others have decided to make the most out of the situation. It gives many humans the time they need to enjoy their hobbies and pick up new skills.
Jean Jones, an art teacher in Utah, decided to work on a new art medium during her quarantine. During her free time, Jones used chalk to create a masterpiece that any dog lover is sure to love. As soon as Jones had the idea for her new art piece, she got to work.
She started out with a simple outline of a white and gray dog. At first, it didn’t look like much, but as she added more and more details, the image began to unfold.
Jones took pictures of the artwork as she created it. It’s interesting to see the different stages of the work and how it became more detailed as she continued to draw. The final product is truly incredible, with features that look way too realistic to be made with chalk. It looks like a professional art piece, so it’s sad to think that the rain will eventually wash it away.
Of course, Jones enjoys drawing with chalk, but she did it for more than just her own amusement. She hoped that her beautiful driveway art would bring smiles to many people during this tough time, especially her neighbors.
“When an art teacher is quarantined and needs to bring some joy to the neighborhood!” Jones commented when she shared the artwork online.
Multiple news sites shared these photos, and sure enough, they brought joy to everyone. Not just Jones’ neighbors, but people from all over the world commented on how much they adored this piece. Many dog lovers shared photos of their own dogs in the comments, explaining that dogs are really helping humans get through these tough times.
It’s impossible to see a dog without smiling. Even this chalk drawing of a dog is enough to brighten our days. This pandemic is causing a lot of fear and uncertainty in the world, so we have to try our best to make the most of it. We’re so lucky to have people like Jones around to share dog pictures to make people smile.
Even if you’re sick of spending time at home, don’t take it for granted. For your dogs, you being home is the most exciting thing possible, so make sure you give them the extra love and attention they deserve. Play with them, walk them, and cuddle them more. And of course, share adorable pictures of them to spread happiness like Jones’ chalk art did.
