Dog lover and actress Ariel Winter is at it again rescuing pups. She recently adopted another puppy and excitedly introduced him to the world. On her Instagram story, the ‘Modern Family’ alum shared a gleeful photo of her and her boyfriend Luke Benward hugging the dog. He goes by Cobey, “a.ka. Cobain a.k.a. Cobeans.”
Like her other dogs, this new puppy is a rescue. He’s a tiny little brown dog with a black muzzle. He also sports a pair of gorgeous, deep blue eyes.
Cobey comes to Winter from The Labelle Foundation, a Los Angeles foster-based animal rescue. The organization works to find the animals they rescue and rehabilitate forever families, and also specializes in neonatal orphans and sick or special needs medical puppies.
The whole family looks so happy! Cobey found the perfect forever home with these two.
Cobey Joins A Big, Furry Family
Like I said, Winter clearly loves dogs. Her new puppy will join four furry siblings: a white Samoyed named Casper; a black mix named Rocco; a rescue German Shepherd Chloe, and Australian Shepherd Cash.
A few weeks ago on “National Dog Day,” Winter advocated for animal rescue, using the “adopt don’t shop” hashtag. She also shared some photos of her beloved dogs.
“Life is ruff right now so…GO ADOPT YOUR FUTURE BEST FRIEND & GET TO CUDDLING!”
An interview with The New York Times back in 2018 revealed how committed Winter is to her babies. They pretty much get free reign of her house and furniture.
“Our couch will never look nice, it won’t, and I’m O.K. with that.”
She added that Cash “sleeps on our heads” at night.
“Our house would be filled with dogs if it was up to me. But four is our max right now. We try to give them all enough attention.”
Interestingly enough though, Cobey makes doggo number 5. Clearly, Winter is a great dog mom, and Cobey will be happy and well-taken care of for life.
Winter Advocates For Animals
In addition to having dogs of her own, Winter volunteers with several animal organizations. She recorded a PSA for Animal Haven in 2018. The video ended up bringing in around $40,000 for the organization (twice their original goal.)
Winter also works with Westside German Shepherd Rescue. Time and again she proves herself as someone who cares for furry friends, and she uses her platform for good. Congrats to Cobey on hitting the mom jackpot!
