After 6-Months Of No-Eye Contact, Dad Figured Out Adopted Dog’s ‘True Passion’

It takes a lot of effort to adopt an abused pet. When adopting dogs from abusive situations, many questions arise. Blaine, an active father with a love of travel, had just brought home an abused dog named Penni when she was scheduled to be euthanized the next day. Despite his good nature, Penni on the other hand never felt at ease with Blaine despite him loving him unconditionally. Meet Penni and Blaine, this is their story!

Penni made no eye-contact with Dad for the past six months. Even when he would come for a visit, she would refuse to go on walks and seemed to be always scared of everything. Her past spent in an abusive drug house basement had taken a toll on her and she would always curl up into a corner and look gloomy.

Penni’s life took a turn for the better, however, when Dad moved from New Jersey to Las Vegas. He started taking Penni on hikes and that proved to be a beacon of light she needed. Slowly, she came out of her shell and finally embraced the passionate spirit inside her.
