20 Best Foods for Boxer with Diarrhea
Mine has sensitive stomach and had tons diarrhea as puppy. Other than white rice and boiled chicken breast, the only thing that worked was bil jac frozen food (recommended by my vet). Yellow bag. It’s hard to find but it’s really easy on stomach. Give it a shot. I just took him off of it after months. Now I’m giving him purina pro for sensitive stomach dogs.

My boxer lost a lot of weight. After a vet trip he explained that her stool contained a lot of undigested fat particles. She wasn’t digesting food properly. Finally we found wellness brand worked for her. Also, have dog checked for hook worms. Causes major upset tummy issues. My baby contracted them when another dog come through the yard and pooped that had them. Could be a number of issues.

Ours is on Forthglade wet food now after being on decent kibble brand for years. Went through about 2 weeks of unsettled stomachs during the transition and now I cannot believe we ever fed her kibble. It was a chicken kibble and she never has chicken in the fresh meat so whether that’s coincidental i don’t know but we have NO more stomach upsets which included gurgling, acid stomach ending up with colitis type diarrhoea. It’s an unbelievable difference and I never thought I would be changing her food at the age of 10!

My vet advised potato and white fish which was the first foods that worked really well. This however was not sustainable long term for a 27kg dog. Royal Canin hypoallergenic she loved and worked well. Expensive but I was just relieved to have found something . She finally put on weight and maintained.

boiled rice and shredded chicken in small amounts thru the day till diarrhea stops…….teaspoon full of canned Pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) daily…….once diarrhea has stopped for a few days, start on small amount of dry food (recommend Purina chicken and rice)in small feedings with small amounts of chicken and rice…..gradually increase amount of dry food and reduce the rice and chicken amts for week or so …..then recommend 2 feedings a day……my guy gets 1& 1/2 cups at 9A and 6P daily…… and has no digestive issues for a very long time

Pets need grain, avoid grain free foods !! Grain free foods are no bueno and can help contribute to cardiomyopathy generally it’s the protein source if your dog is having symptoms ( allergies ) . probiotics are also good as a supplement , there is a awesome prescription diet made by Hills (Gastrointestinal Biome), it’s proven to help with diarrhea and is loaded with pre , pro and post biotics, a prescription so a vet will have to prescribe it
