Monica Anderson and her son arrived home on Friday night to find one of their dogs, a Rottweiler named Nova, pacing frantically and barking hysterically. It was immediately evident to Monica and her son that something was not right. A man had entered their garage and was attempting to enter their home. They let Nova out and she let the intruder know that he had no business being on their property!
Intruder Asks His Victims to Call Off the Dog
As soon as Nova was let outside, she got right to business. She chased the intruder all over the backyard. That is when Anderson’s son saw the would-be burglar with his own eyes. Caleb told KETV 7, “I was scared. I thought he was going to hurt me.” The suspect can be seen fumbling around the yard with his hands extended. Anderson says that at one point the suspect got down to hide next to the deck and as the chase continued, he called out to his victims to call off the dog. As if!
Security Footage Shows Suspect
Anderson has security cameras on both the interior and exterior of her home. The footage plainly shows the man enter her garage. At the same time, the footage inside shows a very upset Rottweiler. She is jumping on the furniture lunging toward the wall, evidently where the intruder was lurking just on the other side. When the driveway camera shows Monica and Caleb pulling up, the suspect exits the garage and enters the backyard. That is when he can be seen groping around the yard, trying to avoid falling down, visibly shaken by the pursuit from Nova.

Major props go out to Nova. She is a very good girl who did an excellent job keeping a scary man away from her humans and her house. Next time, I bet this bad guy will think twice before he attempts to enter a house with a loud bark on the other side of the door.
